Thanks for adding the great marathon tips!

You have a great reading list, both running and non-running.

I've been to ND only for football games, and our h.s. senior daughter is interested in attending there. What a great academic and athletic tradition. Getting accepted is always a challenge. Then we'll worry about paying for it.

Enjoy the vacation. It will make you a better person and better runner.

Read your post today and then had to leave you a comment here too.

Have a great vacation in St. John. I'm betting you've packed at least one book about running--wondering which one...

What's your next marathon?

Irish Cream, What was your first marathon and how what types of work issues did you work around? I have a very busy 2 months before the marathon in Chicago and am a little stressed as to how to get it all done!!

Great job on your long run!

I know I mentioned it before - but I have fallen in love again with walking for cross training. My knees are enjoying it too! It has also improved my long runs. I guess all this take about active recovery is true.

Welcome to the Lounge!

Just read your blog post. I'm biased because I love the Chicago Marathon and have run it many times. I've also run NYC and prefer Chicago. You can run both if you get into NYC--run Chicago as best you can and then enjoy NYC. I've run them both three weeks apart.

I hope you get into NYC, but even if you only run Chicago, you'll have a great time.

So glad you've joined the Lounge.
